CAD Operator/Drafter - Atlanta , GA

We are recruiting qualified individuals to join our design team to produce quality design drawings for our customers.  Qualifications include H.S. Diploma, a certificate from an accredited technical college, at least one year of experience in AutoCAD 14/2000 . Qualified person will have the ability to use CAD drafting techniques to convert and edit drawings received from sprinkler, fire alarm or security system designers into specific layouts. 

CAD Operators have an opportunity for growth into a designer position.

Fire Sprinkler Designers - Atlanta , GA, San Diego, CA

We have immediate openings for qualified, highly motivated team player. Requirements include: 3+ years in sprinkler design and calculation experience including layout, hydraulic calculations, review of NFPA 13 and related codes. Q ualified individuals are able to design & calculate sprinkler drawings , stocklist, work with AHJ's, conduct surveys and plan reviews. AutoCAD knowledge is required, and HydraCad experience and NICET certification are preferred. Minimal travel is required.

Fire Protection Engineers - Atlanta, GA, St. Louis, MO, Los Angeles, San Diego, CA, Minneapolis, MN, Dallas, TX

We are recruiting professional individuals with excellent communication/interpersonal skills. Minimum requirements are a Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection, Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with three years of professional experience in fire protection engineering. Qualified individuals must be on track to become Registered Professional Engineers in the United States with an in-depth knowledge of Model Codes and NFPA Standards. Experience in loss control is preferred. Travel is required. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Consult with customers, developers, architects and engineers to define scope of work and ensure all fire protection issues are resolved.
• Conduct front-end investigations and produce a report of the findings to the customer.
• Conduct fire protection engineering studies.
• Analyze data to determine solutions of alternate methods and procedures, advising the customer of the options.
• Design and recommend methods/materials/ equipment with regard to fire protection issues.
• Ensure fire protection drawings are designed per applicable code.
• Fire risk and hazard analysis.
• Conduct computer fire modeling.
• Produce project status reports, hazardous materials reports, etc.
• Conduct negotiations with AHJ's.
• Resolve problems/issues of new and/or existing projects.
• Analyze data and provide loss prevention/control advice to existing and prospective customers .

Fire Protection Consultants - Atlanta , GA, St. Louis, MO, Los Angeles and San Diego, CA

TVA Fire & Life Safety, Inc. offers comprehensive fire protection, life safety, security, engineering, risk management, and loss control services to Fortune 500 companies and smaller firms. We are currently recruiting for Fire Protection Consultants. Requires in-depth knowledge of Model Codes and NFPA standards and a minimum of 3 years in the Fire Protection industry. Loss Control consulting experiencei s preferred. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Consult with customers and jurisdictional authorities to define needs, problem areas.
• Manage projects and perform project consulting as assigned.
• Conduct surveys to evaluate adequacy of protection and compliance with laws, regulations and standards.
• Conduct model code research and investigation.
• Provide peer review for specifications and drawings, providing sign and seal for issuance of these documents.
• Recommend materials, equipment or methods for alleviation of conditions conducive to fire.
• Review designs, values, occupancy, construction features and exposures.
• Analyze data and provide loss prevention/control advice to existing and prospective customers.
• Conduct meetings with fire and building code officials to discuss upcoming and existing projects and answer any questions that may arise.
• Prepare and provide reports correspondence to communicate engineering findings and recommend priorities.
